Pizza.com Sells for $2.6 Million Piece of Web Pie

April 5, 2008

Pizza.com, registered in 1994 for $20 by a Maryland internet consultant and software engineer, sells for $2.6 Million. Expect the domain name market to heat up a bit in the next few weeks in reaction. The Baltimore Sun reported the windfall and said that Chris Clark, the seller, happened to be at Disney World with his family during the auction. Hmmm, now he can’t do that afterward.
