Women Tech Leaders: Marissa Mayer of Google & Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook

There are more women in top jobs than there used to be, and the relatively high 20% of engineers at Google are more than usual, according to Marissa Mayer at Google in this Newsweek story, she recounts how Larry Page and Sergey Brin said to her

“…we know that organizations work better when there is gender balance. So it???s important to us that we have a strong group of women, especially technical women, in the company.???

That’s not 50% of Engineers, it’s 20% and it’s even less in the executive offices. It’s definitely a man’s world in tech leadership.

The video below is Sheryl Sandberg, COO of FaceBook (formerly of Google) talking about the challenges of Women in the C Suite and on the Board of Directors.
