It appears that government doesn’t have to move slowly, crushed under the weight of bureaucracy. The video below shows the CTO of the WhiteHouse and the Chief of New Media for the Obama Administration talking with TechCrunch.tv correspondent about what it was like to launch a fully functional and useful Healthcare.gov website.

Then the second video is President Obama running through a demo of the site. In his reun-through he mentions that the site has sections for employee provided healthcare, private options, small business options. The latter helps small business owners find the best insurance plans for themselves and for employees.

It’s impressive that this website build-out was accomplished very quickly, much like a startup might approach it, rather than the stodgy, slow pace that we expect from government.
