The best thing about using software for organization is that information can be available at the touch of a button. The worst thing about software is that when the buttons are not available (because of a lack of access or even power) then getting to the information will no longer be an option.

Paper day planners offer a variety of filler material that can help a user keep up with activities, schedules and even expenses. Electronic forms can provide all of the same options as their paper cousins without the need of refills, but the initial purchase cost will be much higher. The best thing about day planners is their portability. The worst thing about day planners is that they require a continually supply of information from the user to be the most effective.

4. Calendars – these also come in the traditional hard copy format and electronic forms. They can make it possible to view at a glance the events and activities that require attention. The best thing about calendars is that they make it easy to schedule. The worst thing about calendars is that they do not always provide enough information to keep all aspects of the business organized.

Many people have discovered that combining different tools can provide the greatest results. Software can be connected to cell phones and email accounts and offer regular notices about events while white boards keep a running record of all the business accomplishments.
